Stray Kids member Bang Chan donated 300 million won on October 3, his birthday, according to JYP Entertainment. The money was divided among three organizations: Hearycle, World Vision Korea and the East Asia Ocean Community, with each receiving 100 million won.
The donations will support hearing-related medical care and rehabilitation for young people, scholarships and tailored assistance for children and teenagers from vulnerable backgrounds, and projects removing marine and river waste. The gift brings Bang Chan’s charitable contributions this year to 500 million won, following donations announced in September for a rehabilitation center and flood recovery in Nepal.
He has also made birthday donations in previous years to Samsung Seoul Hospital, UNICEF Korea and Community Chest of Korea.
